UFC events

The UFC and Spike TV held open tryouts on November 4th, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The casting call went out for Welterweight and Middleweight fighters, however, all fighters will be in the welterweight division. All fighters applying and trying out for the show must have at least three professional fights and be at least 21 years of age. Notables who turned up to the tryouts included Karl Amoussou, Andre Galvao, and Zak Cummings.

It was confirmed during the Fight For The Troops 2 conference call that Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos would be the coaches for this season.

This season will not feature an elimination round like the two seasons before it, however, the "wild card" selections introduced in Season 11 will still be featured. The initial cast will also only be 14 rather than the usual 16, 28 or 32 in recent seasons.
